At the Seattle 2019 NSTA conference, we gave a kit to a scientist at Seattle's Institute for Systems Biology.  He has been keeping the culture in a jar since then!  (This was before the invention of the Beaker Bag!)

He adds freshwater and keeps in a north facing window.
