High School, grades 9 to 12
Biology (General and College Prep)
Living algae and brine shrimp for the core high school biology course.
Students grow algae and brine shrimp together and measure what happens. They see photosynthesis and respiration balance, watch a population grow and level off, and track microplastics moving up a food chain.

How our labs fit this course
NGSS High School Life Science
Where it fits: Biology is the largest science course in the country, and these lessons are built on the NGSS high school life science standards.
What the kit does: Algae and brine shrimp give students a living system to measure for photosynthesis, respiration, population growth and bioaccumulation.
