High School, grades 9 to 12
Agriculture Science
See what fertilizer runoff does to water, one flask at a time.
Students add fertilizer nutrients to living algae and measure the bloom. They trace nitrogen and phosphorus from farm to water, test how chemicals affect growth, and look at algae as a crop for fuel and products.

Where it fits
How our labs fit this course
Nutrients, water quality and runoff
Where it fits: Nutrient cycling, water quality and fertilizer runoff.
What the kit does: Students dose algae with nutrients and measure growth, then connect the results to fertilizer use and runoff. No national framework is named here. This is what the labs do.
